Hi John, I found your blog through Carol Carmichael. My name is Karen Johnston, I live in New Zealand.I paint in oils and started daily painting early in 2011 hoping to improve my work, then went on to start a blog and join Daily Paintworks. It is the best thing I have ever done, I still have a lot to learn but love every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteI love your work, the roses are beautiful!

Hi John. Thank you for this opportunity. I'm a retired college professor -- Professor Emeritus. I started painting about 15 years ago. I'm not gifted at realism but abstracts are in my comfort zone. No art studio -- I just have a small table in the bedroom upstairs. Most of the paintings are either 12X12 or 16X20. I have done one commissioned piece at 40X48.
ReplyDeleteThe more I paint, the more I use improvisation. Planning ahead just doesn't seem to work for me.
My paintings are available for purchase at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/91959958@N06/

ReplyDeleteI'm Jani Kuha from Finland, about Arctic-Circle actually. The Famous city Of Rovaniemi... where Santa-Claus lives.
I'm weirdo who has about no education (that's a lie) about art (that's not so much a lie) but just about year I've been studing Ceramic stuff.
I paint, draw, design tattoos, do ceramic sculptures and some woodworks too.. and wool.. and bone.. and and can't remember all... But I can say that I don't do math... well at least.
At the moment, only way to buy my work is take some connection to me (via facebook or email or by leaving a comment to my blog) but I'm checking out etsy and thinking about it.

Hello -- Thanks for providing an opportunity for artists to share their work. I've really enjoyed what I am seeing here! I'm Cindy La Ferle, a professional journalist and mixed-media artist. I make art from things other people discard, and have recently published my work in magazines and anthologies. I exhibit my work in juried competitions, but for me, it's really more about the joy of the process.
